INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL HOSTS SHARED OWNERSHIP INVESTMENT CONFERENCES IN ASIA

Miami, FL, 25 de noviembre de 2019 –  Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services, recently hosted International Shared Ownership Investment Conferences in Bangkok, Thailand, and Shanghai, China. Nearly 85 delegates participated in the events, which offered a comprehensive program with networking opportunities, interactive sessions, and panel discussions led by recognized hospitality and shared ownership experts.

“We host these seminars to help prospective entrants and developers looking to diversify their product offerings learn about the shared ownership industry,” said Darren Ettridge, senior vice president of business development for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Presenters in Shanghai included Celia Yang, Horwath HTL senior consultant, who shared “Reasons Why Developers and Hoteliers Are Embracing the Shared Ownership Concept,” which included insights on the potential benefits that can be realized by adopting a shared ownership model. Another popular panel, the “Evolution of Shared Ownership Product – Questions & Answers Session,” offered tips on tailoring product offerings to vacationer preferences and also covered points-based clubs, trial and exit programs, and other products that expand revenue opportunities. During “The Legal Perspective” session attendees heard about key lessons learned from legal experts working with timeshare companies in Asia.

Kit Whalley, Interval’s director of business development for Asia Pacific, noted, “In addition to exciting new content, this year’s events offered opportunities for participants to engage with some of the most influential executives in the business.”

In Bangkok, Martin J. Tolan, Marriott Vacation Club’s Thailand-based regional vice president of marketing and sales, discussed “Realizing the Potential of Shared Ownership” regarding the key benefits of adding a timeshare component to a resort. With more than 30 years in the timeshare industry, consultant George Jones explored why a developer would enter the business and what it takes to be successful in the session “Shared Ownership for the 21st Century.”

These investment conferences were the latest in a series of educational events for current and prospective entrants hosted by Interval this year. Also on the agenda were an investment conference in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as InfoExchange and HOA Insights seminars that took place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
